Your Life Course
Living life at your best means looking great, feeling confident,
enjoying healthy
relationships, and experiencing a long life with vitality.
What you do, how you live, and what you eat, think, and believe
may dramatically affect your health and life expectancy. Life
at Your Best, developed by Advanced Cognitive Therapy of New
York, combines clinically proven therapeutic breakthroughs
with a lifestyle plan focused on health and longevity. Through
this comprehensive approach, you can replace lifelong core
themes and patterns that have sabotaged you in the past with
healthy, adaptive behaviors that can actually help you change
your life course. With Life at Your Best, you can work to
stack the odds in your favor for living a longer life —
and look and feel great at the same time.
Recognizing the mind-body connection with food and exercise,
you can reappraise your initial urges and increase your odds
of maintaining a healthy weight. Advanced Cognitive Therapy

When you start the Life at Your Best Plan, you will
work with a highly experienced therapist to identify your
areas of strength to build on, and areas that stop you from
reaching your goals. You will create a specific, comprehensive
plan tailored to your needs, which you will track daily and
adjust as needed.
While developing a detailed plan over the first three individual
sessions, you will
examine your:
- Prior attempts to change your lifestyle and their outcomes
- Current lifestyle, including eating patterns, exercise,
and social connections
- Reasons for wanting to make changes
- Attitudes toward yourself and your appearance
- Weight, body fat percent, and physical and health goals
Using this information, you and your therapist will design
an individualized plan — which may include con-tinued
individual therapy, group therapy, support groups, and the
latest resources to help you achieve measurable and sustainable
results. Over the remaining sessions, you will be coached
through the plan as you encounter the obstacles that have
stopped you in the past, such as inability to control your
portions or maintain your exercise routine. As you progress,
you will easily be able to track your progress in eating patterns,
exercise, significant health markers, and how you feel.
